Saturday, May 20th
2:00 p.m. at the Clermont Cottage
Come learn how to make citron melon jam as the Livingston's might have eaten in the 1800's. While the jam cooks we will use the brightly colored seeds harvested from the melons as well as some plain white pumpkin seeds to create necklaces and bracelets and even try our hand at the complicated Victorian melon seed baskets. We will learn basic knife skills and knife safety and each family will go home with a jar of jam and melon seed creation.
We welcome children age 8 and an older adult companion for only $10; an additional child costs $5 extra. Register online or call the Friends of Clermont at (518) 537-6622.
